Job Title: Chief Investment Officer

Role Description/Job Duties:
  1. Develop and oversee the company’s long-term investment strategy, ensuring it aligns with corporate objectives and risk tolerance. This involves identifying profitable investment opportunities, evaluating asset allocations, and ensuring diversification.
  2. Manage the company's investment portfolios, including monitoring market conditions, performance reviews, and implementing adjustments as necessary to meet financial targets.
  3. Evaluate and manage investment-related risks, ensuring there are risk mitigation strategies in place. This includes overseeing compliance with regulations and internal policies, particularly related to the financial sector.
  4. Conduct in-depth financial analysis and forecasting to support investment decisions. This includes analyzing market trends, economic conditions, and industry changes that could impact investments.
  5. Lead and mentor the investment management team, fostering collaboration and ensuring effective execution of investment strategies. This includes overseeing the performance and development of the team.
  6. Engage with senior leadership, the board of directors, and key stakeholders to communicate investment performance, strategies, and opportunities. This role often involves reporting to the CEO and board on the company’s investment outcomes.

Qualifications, Knowledge And Experience
  • A bachelor’s degree in finance, economics, accounting, or a related field.
  • A master’s degree (MBA, Master’s in Finance, or Economics) is often preferred.
  • Professional designations such as CFA (Chartered Financial Analyst) or CAIA (Chartered Alternative Investment Analyst) are highly valued.
  • At least 5-10 years of experience in investment management, financial services, or related fields, with progressive leadership responsibilities.
  • Proven experience in managing large and complex investment portfolios, including public markets, private equity, venture capital, real estate, and fixed-income investments.
  • A minimum of 10 years of experience in venture capital, including holding partner-level positions, is considered an asset.
  • A minimum of 10 years of experience in private equity investment, including holding managing director positions, is considered an asset.
  • Leading investments in projects within the technology sector is an asset.
  • Strong research and analytical capabilities, as well as practical investment experience, are considered an asset.
  • Extensive experience leading teams and managing a department or division responsible for investment strategies.

Role Description/Job Duties:

Our portfolio is uniquely designed, with a focus on global diversification, innovation, sustainability, and long-term impact-driven growth solutions.

About the Role: We are hiring an Operations Manager with a Compliance related background or experience required, responsible for leading operational activities while ensuring the organization meets all legal, regulatory, and internal compliance standards. The role combines operational management with regulatory compliance oversight to ensure smooth, efficient processes and mitigate risks. This position typically works closely with senior leadership, department heads, compliance and legal teams to integrate operations and compliance into the day-to-day functions of the organization.

As an Operations Manager (Compliance background preferred), you will:
  1. Lead and optimize day-to-day operations of the Office
  2. Develop and implement operational policies and procedures aligned with regulatory requirements
  3. Monitor and evaluate operational processes to identify risks and compliance gaps
  4. Coordinate with internal and/or external stakeholders to ensure adherence to regulatory standards
  5. Manage operational budgets and resource allocation
  6. Assist in external reviews and audits.
  7. Lead continuous improvement initiatives while maintaining compliance standards
  8. Monitor changes in Singapore's regulatory framework and adjusting compliance strategies accordingly
  9. Secure the computer systems of the organisation through computer operator-led system monitoring Coordinate with the IT team to ensure the production schedule is on track at all times.
Required skills and qualifications
  1. At least 3 years' of relevant, recent experience in a legal or financial services environment preferred.
  2. A bachelor's degree or diploma in accountancy, business administration, law or a related field.
  3. Strong knowledge of the industry standards, laws and regulations.
  4. Demonstrable experience in compliance and risk management.
  5. Knowledge of financial crime and anti-money laundering regulations.
  6. Familiarity with developing and executing compliance management techniques.
  7. Experience in conducting audits and investigations and providing relevant strategies.
  8. A desire to build on existing knowledge and adapt to changes in processes and procedures quickly.
Preferred skills and qualifications
  1. Singaporean Citizen or Permanent Resident.
  2. Familiarity with Compliance is a plus.
  3. Excellent communication and analytical skills.
  4. Proficient computer skills and familiarity with general office software packages such as Microsoft Office, Word, Excel.
  5. Meeting Liaison skills and Salesforce and other databases deemed necessary to perform the duties abovementioned.
